Hyderabad Likely to Be Under Lockdown Yet Again?

The cases in Telangana are on a rise. The state is continuously recording around 150 cases per day and the deaths have also increased. The rate at which the cases have increased is alarming. The majority of the cases and deaths are from the GHMC area which is Telangana’s Capital region.

This is despite the fact that the state is doing very less number of tests, probably the least in the entire South. With things going out of control, there are some media reports that the Telangana Government is planning to reimpose the Lockdown once again in Hyderabad. The decision is likely to come in a day or two.

Interestingly, restaurants, hotels, malls, and religious places have opened from today all over the country. One more Lockdown will be very harsh to the people and also the treasury. But then, by coming on to the roads unabated, the citizens may have got to that position themselves.

In many places, people were seen without masks and not following social-distancing rules.
