Hyderabad Metro Works 74% Complete

Telangana Urban Development Minister, K Taraka Ramarao made an announcement in Telangana Assembly over Hyderabad Metro Project in the wake of allegations of inordinate delays plaguing the project. KTR announced to the house that the project works are 74% complete and there are no alignment changes further.

Congress and MIM tried to corner the government on the project delay and also alleged that additional burden is being levied on the people due to TRS government’s stand on the issue but KTR said that the delay is only due to the previous government. He said it is only TRS government which started work in crucial areas like Jubilee Check Post, Saradhi Studio and Iskon Temple etc.

He also said that the project works are happening at good pace here when compared to that of Chennai and Bengaluru projects. He also said that the maintenance costs of the project will not be totally on the state since the Central government is also a part of the project.
