Hyderabad only as political capital: Naidu

Andhra Pradesh government has decided to take some of the departments out of Hyderabad to Vijayawada by Ugadi next year. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu wants to use Hyderabad only as political capital and wants the administration to run from Vijayawada. Naidu even wants to operate in tents if the infrastructure is not ready by then.

It is that instructions have gone to Head of the departments to inform the staff to make arrangements regarding shifting to Vijayawada. On the other side, employees are worried about having to shift to Vijayawada all of sudden. They have previously asked the CM to wait for an year or so citing the education of their children, the CM had opted Ugadi as the new year for students will begin around June and their parents can make arrangements accordingly.

Most of the HODs if moved to Vijayawada had to commute between Hyderabad and Vijayawada. As they need to attend court cases personally on a regular basis. Since the high court is currently in Hyderabad it is not easy for them to oscillate between the two cities very often.
