Hyderabad to be broken for TRS benefit?

In the name of better administration ease, Telangana government is planning to split Greater Hyderabad in to four other districts. As of now Greater Hyderabad covers a vast area of over 625 square Kms and also 24 assembly constituencies.

The government is mulling the idea of creation of smaller districts as it will mean ease of travel for the people when the need to visit the district HQ arises. But the real intention is to make Greater Hyderabad in to pieces so that Corporation elections are easy for the ruling party.

As of now, the corporation elections are dictated by MIM which has presence in many parts of Old City and several settlers majority areas supporting TDP and BJP. Division of Hyderabad in to smaller districts will decrease these effects and will become advantage to the ruling party to easily bag the corporation in future.
