On Jan 7, 2025, the government gave instructions for a special police station to look into encroachments, land grabbers, public property damage, public property defacement and other asset protection services and HYDRAA activities.

The station house officer (SHO) will be an ACP and the station will function under the jurisdiction of police commissionarate, spanning entire ORR and tri-police commissionarates.

The process of deputying police personnel to HYDRAA station was ongoing, shared Ranganath. In the past, land issues were reported in local police stations.

The cases to the SHO will be handed over by the HYDRAA commissioner.

Instead of local police stations, the cases can now be filed at HYDRAA police stations and the officers will look into the matter and take necessary action.

More HYDRAA police stations could come up depending on the complaints, said Ranganath.
