In a recent interview, YS Sharmila, the leader of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), criticized the YSRCP government for not doing enough for the welfare of the state.
Sharmila argued that if Congress had returned to power in 2014, Andhra Pradesh would have received special status a decade earlier.
Sharmila believes there will be big changes in Andhra Pradesh politics soon. She predicts that the Congress party will win not only in the state but also nationally. She hopes that the INDIA bloc will bring change at the central government level.
She also expressed full confidence about winning the Kadapa seat. She said, “I am for sure winning the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat and I also hope that a few of my party members will also win a few MP seats and MLA seats.”
Sharmila wants to carry on her father, YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s legacy.
She also mentioned that her mother is torn between supporting her son and daughter. Her mother has chosen to remain neutral, a decision Sharmila respects. She believes people admire her mother for being a role model as a wife and mother.
