Right from the beginning of his term, Gottipati was the prime target of Jagan to get a hold on Prakasam district where TDP got four seats even in an anti-wave election.
There was a non-stop vendetta on Gottipati’s businesses. The vigilance department officials are continuously after Gottipati and even cancelled some leases of his granite quarries and its allied polishing industries.
Similar witch-hunting was unleashed on Siddha Raghava Rao and he got the permits restored after joining YSR Congress but Gottipati did not budge and is only fighting the government.
Gottipati belonging to the Kamma community which Jagan hates to the core makes things worse.
I-PAC has been conducting surveys every three months and is submitting them to Jagan. All the surveys of Addanki are indicating a grand victory for Gottipati once again.
Meanwhile, YSR Congress is in complete shambles in the constituency. Bachina Krishna Chaitanya has been appointed as the incharge but we have been seeing the party cadre itself protesting against the incharge demanding Jagan to change him immediately.
The surveys also indicate TDP winning a majority of seats in all the twelve seats of the erstwhile Prakasam district which has strong Reddy community influence. The TDP leaders of Prakasam district are the most active across the state with their continuous mass outreach programs right after 2019 elections.
