IBM Chairman and CEO Arvind Krishna has confirmed that Amaravati will host one of the first two IBM Quantum Computers to be established in India. This project commissioning is projected to completed by September 2026 and could turn operational shortly thereafter.

Krishna also said the quantum computing revolution is approaching an inflection point, stating that quantum computers are just 2–3 years away from delivering significant commercial advantages.
