Impressive Efforts By GHMC To Promote Clay Ganesha

GHMC had taken up an impressive idea to promote the usage of Clay Ganesha for the upcoming Vinayaka Chaviti. The Corporation is planning to come up with a web-portal that will serve as a buyer-vendor marketplace for Clay Ganeshas. The city’s idol makers together have an inventory of about 16,000 clay idols.

However, they do not have a proper platform to market their idols. Similarly, people who are increasingly growing cautious of the environment are finding it tough to reach the clay idol makers and so the platform will definitely come handy. But then it is a big of late already as the festival is nearing.

Despite the rising awareness about the environment, a large majority of people still want to have their idols looking colorful. This might eventually have them go in for plaster of Paris idols. Also, clay idols can not be very large and tall as clay is a fragile material. So those preferring large ones are opting for Plaster of Paris idols.
