Incessant Rains Hit Hyderabad IT

Hyderabad City is being lashed by incessant rains in the last few days. The Rainfall the city has received is the second highest of all time and highest in the last decade. The rains have affected all the people inundating some of the low-lying areas. Traffic snarls have become quite common and engulfed a major business of the IT.

IT Employees who stay in the affected areas, skipped their offices, affecting their work. Several offices reported 20% to 40% absence of employees delaying their projects. Companies who offer Work from Home facility to the employees have also got affected as the power was switched off as to avoid short-circuits and danger to residents as the basement of apartments and buildings were flooded.

Even those attended the office also reached the office late in the wake of the heavy traffic and then left the offices early as they want to reach their homes before the peak hours begin and strangle them in traffic. Some of the offices are looking to impose additional working days on their employees to clear the pending work over the weekend if the rains subside.
