International Experts To Visit Polavaram Tomorrow

The works of the long-pending Polavaram Project have been accelerated after the new government took charge in Andhra Pradesh.

The project was completely ignored under the rule of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress Party over the last five years.

The Ministry of Jal Shakti and the Polavaram Project Authority are now advancing the works of the project, and as part of it, international experts have been appointed to examine the project’s status.

A team of these international experts will visit the Polavaram Project tomorrow (June 30) and inspect various aspects of the project for the next four days.

They will review the dam’s management, security, civil engineering, and hydraulic structures. They will also inspect the damaged diaphragm wall and the cofferdam.

After examining the project’s situation, the team will submit a report on the project to the government.

CM Chandrababu Naidu wants to complete this project as soon as possible and is making a lot of effort to complete it on time.

Yesterday, Chandrababu released a white paper on the Polavaram project. He stated that 72% of the project was completed under TDP’s rule from 2014-19, whereas only 3.84% of the work was done under Jagan’s rule from 2019-24.
