
To enable the establishment of Creator Academy for fostering creative economic growth, AP IT Minister has signed MoUs with two companies in Singapore.
Tesseract US Inc and YouTube Academy India are the two firms that will help in establishing Creator Academy in the state.
The MoUs were signed in the presence of IT Minister Lokesh, on July 29, in Singapore. Teja Dharma of Tesseract, Arjun Doraiswamy, Head of YouTube Academy India, Katamaneni Bhaskar, IT secretary of AP government, signed the MoUs.
According to the MoU, the AP government will set up a Center of Excellence dedicated to creative content development.
Google will provide the required resources, technology and expertise for the curriculum and training modules. Tesseract will provide physical infrastructure, management and day to day operations.
The MoUs serve two objectives. One is to help content creators with knowledge, skills and tools to succeed in rapidly changing digital content industry.
The second objective is to promote innovation within creative economy, which will in turn promote national economic growth.
Speaking on the occasion, Lokesh shared that the idea is to empower young talent and nurture next generation content creators in Andhra Pradesh.
