IT & HRD Minister Nara Lokesh made a statement saying – speak any language, wear any clothes, eat any food. It’s all cool as long as we respect each other’s culture. Come, build in Andhra Pradesh!
Lokesh made the comment in the backdrop of ongoing Marathi row in Maharashtra, Kannada row in Karnataka and the shunning of Hindi in non-Hindi speaking states.
Mumbai and Bengaluru are cosmopolitan cities, yet they see skirmishes in the name of language from time to time.
With Amaravati being developed as a people’s capital, Lokesh’s statement comes as a whiff of fresh air to those looking for opportunities in Amaravati and rest of Andhra Pradesh.
After his post, he has been labeled the coolest politician in the country by netizens. But Lokesh gave all credit to Telugu people.
He responded to the label saying – It’s not me. It’s the Telugu people who are the coolest. Development is the only language here. Everyone who speaks this language is welcome in AP.
