The government’s “Gadapa Gadapa” program, aimed at reaching every doorstep, will conclude on August 31, and MLAs are striving to enhance their performance before that deadline. It has been revealed that around 15 to 20 MLAs are not actively participating in the program, although their names were not disclosed publicly.
During a workshop on the progress achieved by the state government in various sectors over the past four years, Chief Minister Jagan presented a detailed PowerPoint presentation. However, it is reported that many public representatives found the presentation tedious and expressed disinterest.
The presentation lasted for approximately 35 minutes and highlighted the progress made by the previous Chandrababu government as well as the YCP government. Some public representatives believe that presenting these calculations to the public may not yield votes.
The Chief Minister noticed the lack of reaction or expression from the representatives during the serious PowerPoint presentation and suggested that future presentations should focus on key points rather than being lengthy.
In private conversations, many legislators have complained that since coming to power, the government has primarily focused on schemes and programs benefiting Jagan, while the authority has been centralized under the Chief Minister, leaving MLAs with only nominal roles.
These legislators expressed dissatisfaction when programs were organized to improve their performance and address people’s issues. They feel that their individual performance is irrelevant as the overall responsibility lies with Jagan’s governance.
