Jagan Gives Rs 25 Lakh to Murali Naik’s Family

Ex CM YS Jagan visited the family of martyred soldier Murali Naik in Kallitanda, Sri Satyasai district. He announced aid of Rs 25 lakh to Naik’s bereaved family.

Jagan thanked the alliance government for announcing ex-gratia. The YSRCP leader said the custom of giving money to the family of slain jawans was started by his government.

He said that Murali Naik’s bravery would be remembered. He and his party will stand by the family, said Jagan.

Agniveer Murali Naik was killed during heavy cross-border firing at the Line of Control. His body was brought to his village for the last rites. It first came to Karnataka and the body was then brought to his village by road.

Scores of people came out and shouted slogans of Jai Jawan throughout the way. Murali Naik was laid to rest with state honours on May 11. IT Minister Lokesh attended the funeral, while CM Chandrababu extended his condolences.

Tensions between India and Pakistan started after terrorists killed 26 innocent people at Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam, J& K. Later, with India striking terrorist bases in Pakistan with Operation Sindoor, tensions escalated.

Pakistan army got into the act worsening matters. After intervention by the US, ceasefire was announced by Pakistan and India reciprocated.
