It looks like Jagan is also worried about the Sympathy factor now.
On the 16th of this month, speaking in a Public meeting in Nidadavole, Jagan said, “Chandrababu is the Sootradaari and Paatradaari in Skill Scam. Where else should those who looted the public money be put other than in jail?”
On Monday, Jagan tried to showcase as if he was not aware of the arrest and he was not involved at all.
“I have no grudge against Chandrababu Naidu. Nobody arrested Chandrababu holding a grudge. I was not even in India when the arrest happened. I was in London when the arrest happened,” Jagan said.
He even tried to push the blame on the Central Government even though the Central Agencies did not lead to this case.
“Central government agencies like IT and ED conducted investigations on Chandrababu and proved his corruption. The ED has also arrested the culprits,” the CM announced.
In 2018, Chandrababu Naidu’s Government only revoked the consent for CBI to come into the state but the Chief Minister blatantly lied that Chandrababu had withdrawn the consent to allow IT and ED to enter the state as well.
These are not words that came momentarily from Jagan. Mind you, he is reading from a carefully drafted speech.
By saying that Prime Minister Modi has accused Chandrababu of corruption and that the central government agencies have investigated his corruption, Jagan seems to be making the Central Government a partner in Chandrababu’s arrest and has tried to get some relief from the negativity coming from the people.
This looks like a desperate correction after Jagan got reports of a sympathy wave in favor of Chandrababu Naidu.
