Jagan Govt Just Constructed Five Houses In 3 Yrs: Center

The central government called out the YCP-led Andhra Pradesh government in the Lok Sabha today for neglecting the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Central minister Niranjan Jyoti spoke at length in the Lok Sabha today and called out the AP government, revealing the statistics of the house-construction scheme – PMAY, that is funded by the center.

The center allotted 1,82,632 houses for Andhra Pradesh since 2016. Out of these, only 46,726 were constructed in the state till now. What’s more shocking is that 46.721 of these houses were built during the TDP government’s regime. In the last 3 years, only 5 houses were built, the central minister said.

The center seems anguished with the YCP government over the fact that only 5 houses were built in the state through PMAY scheme while the previous government built 46,721.
