Jagan Govt Reason For Polavaram Delay: Center

Union Government has written to the state government blaming the latter for Polavaram Delay. “You failed to complete the lower coffer dam on time and hence the flood washed out the coffer dam,” the center said.

The Center has written that the state Government’s Water Resources department and the contractor should take the responsibility for this.

“You did not follow the guidelines of Union Jal Shakti ministry, Water Board, and Polavaram Project authority,” they said.

“Polavaram Project authority has been insisting on appointing an ownership department for the last three years but you did not care. You have ignored warning of all Central institutions,” the Center said.

The Center also mentioned that how the state government has ignored a comprehensive report on this issue. “The report is already delayed by a month,” the Central Government remarked.
