Jagan’s Key Advisor Passes Away

D. A. Somayajulu, a key advisor of Opposition Leader, Jagan Mohan Reddy passed away in the early hours of today. He is being treated in a Private hospital in Hyderabad for a lung-related problem for a while but finally succumbed to the ailment today.

Jagan gave a break to his Praja Sankalpa Padayatra and has headed to Hyderabad to pay his last respects. Somayajulu, who was a close aide of late Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy and the brain behind several policy decisions and programmes introduced by YSR.

He quit as an economic advisor to the Kiran Kumar Reddy government and joined YSR Congress in 2011 to help Jagan. Since then he is a key advisor to Jagan Mohan Reddy. Party says it is a huge loss for them ahead of the 2019 elections.
