Jagan Let Goes Hopes on Kapu Community

Opposition Leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy washed his hands off the Kapu Reservations issue saying that he can not promise something which is in the purview of the Central Government indicating his party’s stance on the crucial issue. He only promised to double the allocations to Kapu Corporation.

This seems to be a ploy to get closer to the BC Communities which are opposing reservations to Kapu Community. Jagan may have arrived at the conclusion that Kapu Community will rally with Janasena and TDP paying no dividends to his support for the Reservations.

But then, after Bifurcation, several issues of Andhra Pradesh are directly related to the Central Government but it is the first time Jagan rubbed his hands off. If that is the case, Jagan will have no participation in crucial issues like Special Status, Railway Zone, Kadapa Steel Plant etc.

This is not the first time Jagan left Kapu community fuming. Re-admitting Gautham Reddy into the party after initially suspending him for comments on Kapu Icon, Vangaveeti Ranga also did not go well with the community. Going by the sequence of these incidents, Jagan may have left all hopes on the Kapu Community.
