Jagan’s Plan To Nullify Pawan Kalyan Factor

Janasena has polled around 5.5% Vote Share in the last elections. According to the recent surveys, it has come down to 4.5%. But regardless of the numbers, Pawan Kalyan can execute some upsets in constituencies where the contest is tight. Also, the party is reasonably strong in twenty constituencies where the Kapu population is sizeable.

It looks like in the wake of increasing anti-incumbency, Jagan seems to be trying to nullify the Janasena factor. Buzz is that Mudragada Padmanabham is contemplating starting his own party with the help of Kapu Sena. The idea of this party is to break the Janasena votes and help YSR Congress.

Mudragada has led the Kapu Reservations agitation during Chandrababu Naidu‘s regime but surprisingly became silent after the government change fueling doubts that he is working at the behest of YSR Congress. Social media suspects he is back again to help Jagan Mohan Reddy.

With the speculations of TDP and Janasena likely to ally, breaking Janasena is very important for YSR Congress. But then, Mudragada largely lost his credibility after 2019. Will he be successful with his party? only time can tell.
