Jagan Sacked One Among the “The Four”

The Jagan government in Andhra Pradesh has taken action against AP Government Employees Union President KR Suryanarayana. He has been suspended based on proceedings released by Chief Commissioner of State Revenue Girija Shankar. The suspension order will remain in effect until a full disciplinary action is taken against Suryanarayana.

Suryanarayana is involved in a case registered at Vijayawada Patamata Police Station on May 30th, 2023. The allegations against him and four others, Meher Kumar, Santhya, Venkata Chalapathy, and Satyanarayana, involve defrauding the government revenue between 2019 and 2021. The other four individuals were taken into custody and interrogated.

According to the proceedings, Suryanarayana, who is also the president of the AP Commercial Tax Association, conspired with the other accused to collect a significant amount of money from traders in the name of inspections. It is believed that having Suryanarayana continue in his job could obstruct the smooth progress of the investigation and pose a risk to the government.

With the suspension of Suryanarayana, the government is taking strict action to address the alleged corruption and ensure a fair investigation. The case highlights the government’s commitment to rooting out corruption and maintaining accountability among its employees. The real issue behind his sacking is that Suryanarayana met the governor and briefed Governor on delay in payment of salaries every month.
