Jagan Scams Effect: 700 Cr To Repair Potholes

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was involved in multiple scams during his five years in government, leading to poor or incomplete work in many sectors.

The current government, led by Chandrababu Naidu, has been spending additional funds to compensate for the damages caused by the YCP government.

Today, Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting with the TDP MLAs at NTR Bhavan in Mangalagiri. Speaking at the meeting, Chandrababu discussed the amount that is being spent to repair potholes on roads which were the result of the corrupt governance of YCP.

Naidu stated that the government has so far released around Rs. 290 crore and promised to release an additional Rs. 486 crore for pothole repairs. “On average, we had to spend around Rs. 600-700 crore just to make our roads pothole-free. They dug holes and pits and left them midway, damaging the roads. Now, we have to spend such a huge amount to cover those potholes and pits,” he said.

Chandrababu Naidu ordered the immediate commencement of the work and set a deadline for its completion. He stated that all pothole repairs must be finished by Sankranthi 2025.
