Giving an indirect clarification, Reuters just changed the title of the article a bit. It has deleted the tweet with the old title name and posted the same article once again. However, Sakshi seems to have misread the entire situation and tweeted saying that Reuters withdrew its story.

Buzz is that the Government is evaluating the options to go legal on Reuters. But then, it is not easy since it is an international agency. Reuters refusing to take down the story is creating doubts in the minds of the people that something is going wrong behind the scenes.

So, the Government is keen on doing something about it. Meanwhile, there is so much bad press about the State Government which is sending bad signals to the investors, the government feels. There are already challenges from Regional media and this coming from National and International media is something unexpected. This is happening despite having a costly and robust mechanism to handle the media from the YSR Congress side as well as the Government. But going legal would only increase the enemies and make things worse.
