‘Jagan Will Pay Price for this Arrogance’

Andhra Pradesh Government has floated Re-tenders for the Remaining Works in Polavaram Project to the tune of 4987.5 Crore the other day. This is despite the fact that the Polavaram Project Authority opposed the Pre-Closure of existing Contract and the calling of the Re-Tenders.

The other day, PPA dashed a letter to the State Government to reconsider its decision. It also appealed to hold the idea at least till the Government of India takes a decision on this but Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy did not budge. Reports are emerging that the BJP led Central Government has taken this very seriously.

They are disturbed over the fact that the State Government is overriding the Center while they are funding the Project in entirety. Some of the State BJP Leaders on the Condition of anonymity are saying that the State Government will very soon face the music due to this unilateral action.

“We have shown Chandrababu Naidu his place for disobedience and it will be Jagan’s Turn now. The Central Government will pull the plug at the right time,” the BJP Leader said. The State Government is alleging massive irregularities to the tune of 3500 Crores in this Project. It has to show the gains in the re-tenders now. The Central Government already clarified that it is not going to bear the losses if any due to the Re-Tenders.
