Jagan’s Bail Case: What Went In Favor Of Jagan

The CBI Court has refused to cancel the bail of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Rajya Sabha MP Vijaysai Reddy. Petitioner Raghu Rama Krishna Raju has alleged that being in power, Jagan and Vijaysai Reddy are in a position to influence the witnesses in various disproportionate cases against them.

The court has opined that the petition is filed on assumptions but there is no specific evidence proving the petitioner’s allegation. Raghu Rama Krishna Raju could not provide the specific evidence and the court did not take the intentional non co-operation (not attending the court) into consideration to cancel the bail.

Jagan’s counsels maintained that they did not infringe the bail terms and as a result, CBI did not ask for the bail cancelation. The Narasapuram MP has announced approaching the Higher Court saying that the court did not take complete cognizance of all the aspects in his petition. “The news leaked on Sakshi Twitter handle has become true. I will fight even up to the Supreme Court to fight this case,” the MP said after the adverse judgement.

Raghu Rama’s lawyers also point out that the major reason for this failure is the non cooperation of the CBI. “The judgment would have been different if the CBI took the right side. With CBI’s non co-operation, our arguments as the third party were not enough. It is unfortunate our arguments could not convince the CBI court. Hopefully, it will convince the High Court,” RRR’s lawyer, Venkatesh said speaking to the media.
