JanaSena chief Pawan Kalyan is in the midst of a crucial juncture for JanaSena in Telugu states politics. The onus is on him to steer his party through this tough passage and lead his troops in AP and Telangana in the election campaign.
In this context, Pawan met with his party troops in Hyderabad and he was asked by the cadre to contest in the Telangana polls. “We lost grip after last election as we didn’t contest in the same. Not contesting this year will lead to more loosening internally” troops told Pawan.
Pawan replied “There is a lot of pressure on us. I will listen to what the cadre has to say. I will decide on Telangana polls in a day or two. I will need sometime to assess the situation.”
Incidentally, the JSP chief had also met with BJP bigwigs Kishan Reddy and Laxman earlier today and they asked him to support BJP in the coming Telangana election.
This is a tense passage for Pawan as he announced alliance with TDP in AP and now, BJP has asked for his support in Telangana. This dual-alliance is a tough preposition.
Moreover, JSP had already announced they are contesting in 32 MLA constituencies in Telangana. Now, Pawan saying he needs a day or two to take the decision itself means that there is a change of plans. Does this mean JanaSena will skip Telangana election in order to avoid conflict with TDP and BJP?
