Lakshmi Narayana cut into the votes of TDP and helped YSR Congress candidate win by a small margin. After the elections, he left Janasena citing non-serious Politics of Pawan Kalyan.
He is operating independently but is mostly inactive. There were speculations that he would come back to Janasena but he sprang a surprise.
He announced that he would contest for the same seat in 2024 as an independent.
Usually after an election defeat and a big period of inactivity, the popularity loses and vote share decrease. But JD will still enjoy some clout and that may show impact on the TDP candidate yet again if the election is such tight as the last year.
