JD Lakshminarayana Overestimating The ‘Premium’ Value?

Former CBI JD Lakshminarayana has the image of an upright officer. He contested in the 2019 elections on the Janasena ticket. He ate into the votes of the TDP and ensured that the YSRCP candidate win with a slender margin over the TDP candidate.

Lakshminarayana quit Janasena after that but is yet to join any party. The speculations are on about why party he will join.

“I will contest from Vizag itself. I will join the party which is closer to my ideology. Also, there is a chance of contesting independently in our system,” he said.

The party that he joins will be a topic of another day but will Lakshminarayana receive the same reception he got the last time?

The Premium value that surrounds the ‘change’ crusaders wears out after an election loss. People do not like to bet on losing horses. The first election is always the best election in case they lose.

Furthermore, JD has become inactive after the 2019 loss.

We have seen that happening with Jaya Prakash Narayana. Most likely it will be the case with JD as well.
