Andhra Pradesh IT and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh has highlighted investment proposals worth ₹4,256 crore linked to the CII regional summit in Kakinada. The proposed projects have the potential to generate more than 14,000 jobs across Andhra Pradesh, including the Godavari districts.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) regional summit was organised in Kakinada on October 12 to attract investments and promote industrial development. The event focused on business opportunities in Kakinada and surrounding areas, particularly in the blue economy and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Lokesh highlighted the industrial potential of the Visakhapatnam-Kakinada stretch and encouraged investors to consider Andhra Pradesh for their projects. He also pointed to the state government’s efforts to simplify approvals, speed up decisions and create a supportive environment for industrial development.
The investment proposals are estimated to generate 14,261 jobs. Kakinada is expected to attract a significant share of the proposed investments, while projects are also planned in other districts. The proposals cover industrial units and opportunities for smaller businesses.
Lokesh also shared a video of the event on X, highlighting the investment proposals and opportunities for regional development. The summit forms part of Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to attract businesses and encourage industrial growth across the state.
If implemented, the proposed investments could create employment and business opportunities in Kakinada and other parts of Andhra Pradesh. However, the final investment and job figures will depend on project approvals, implementation and the number of proposals that become operational industrial units.
Delighted that the CII Regional Conference in Kakinada has drawn investment proposals worth ₹4,256 crore, with the potential to create over 14,000 jobs. Godavari districts are ready to lead Andhra Pradesh’s blue economy and MSME growth. The regional conference today will showcase the immense investment opportunities in this region.
From Vizag to Kakinada, the message to investors is clear: Choose Speed, Choose AP! #ChooseSpeedChooseAP #CIIPartnershipSummit
