KA like Formula for BJP in AP?

BJP is going aggressive in Andhra Pradesh and with the hopes of growing big in the state, it has also burnt bridges with its alliance partner, TDP. Here is what the BJP Bosses are thinking about their Andhra Pradesh Strategy in the wake of 2019 elections.

“BJP will fulfill most of the promises to Andhra Pradesh except Special Status from August and go ballistic on TDP Government alleging that it has failed the people. BJP is expecting 40-50 seat minimum in 2019 elections,” a source said.

“Once we get there, either TDP or YSR Congress will be forced to support us even though they get more seats like how Congress supported JDS in Karnataka. Once we get the CM Post, it will be easy to establish BJP influence on the state,” the source added.

The strategy looks good on Paper but is definitely not as easy as said. As of today, BJP has zero strength in Andhra Pradesh. Moreover, there is a severe public resentment of the party not only for the ignored promises but also due to the aftermath effects of Demonetization.
