Karnataka trying to woo back Hero Motocorp!

Months after losing Hero Motocorp South Manufacturing Plant to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka government has intensified trials to woo back the company back to their state. CM Siddaramaiah announced in Karnataka Assembly that Hero Motocorp was offered better deal than AP.

But land at concessional rate and assumption of getting tax benefits due to state bifurcation prompted the company to choose AP. Siddaramaiah announced that the company will regret its decision and its government will make sure the lost plant returns to at the proposed Dharwad area.

Siddaramaiah also stated to the Assembly that 53 pharmaceutical firms from the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh had approached his government for investments in the state and many industrial firms from Maharashtra too had conveyed their interest to set up units.
