KCR Can Not Handle Naidu’s Landmark Scheme

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had effortlessly collected over 30000 acres for Amaravati through Land Pooling Scheme without even shelling any money. His Telangana Counterpart, KCR did not want to take it up for the major project as it would give Naidu, the credit. But then it is still being implemented for small projects.

One of such projects is developing growth corridors along the Warangal and Vijayawada highways. The government had promised to allot 1000 sq. yard plots to each farmer for each acre of land pooled. However, the project is not going anywhere as farmers are refusing hand over land for realty development abetting the Outer Ring Road.

With that, the project suddenly hit a roadblock. Telangana government is already facing headache due to the land acquisition issues of Mallannna Sagar Project and it does not want to complicate things. But the government is brainstorming about how to bypass these problems and take up development projects in the state.
