KCR Clarifies on Woman Minister Controversy

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao clarified about one of the longstanding allegations on him – Not Having Woman Minister in his Cabinet. Speaking in the Assembly in the discussion about the State Budget, CM KCR clarified that he will soon have Two Ministers in his Cabinet.

Congress Senior MLA, Sabitha Indra Reddy raised the issue in Assembly. “Not one, we are going to give a chance for two Women Ministers. We are back to Power because women voted in big numbers to TRS,” KCR announced in the Assembly. It has to be seen if that happens in the next Cabinet Expansion after Parliament Elections.

KCR’s First Term did not have a woman minister. That will also mean that Telangana even after five years of its formation is yet to have its First Woman Minister. The Chief Minister only expanded that cabinet partially that too about three months after the election results. He will have one more expansion after the Parliament Elections.
