KCR clears 'costly' way for Metro Rail

The contentious Metro Rail issue in Sultan Bazaar may be solved very soon. Hyderabad Metro Rail Corporation had come up to offer a big package for those losing lands. The corporation will be shelling out a whopping 60000 per square yard of losing land.

In other areas, the corporation only gave 40000 to 45000 Rupees. Also the traders who are losing their shops will also be made alternate arrangements to shift their businesses. With these lucrative packages, the land acquisition in that line may happen with out much issues.

The traders in Sultan Bazaar are opposing the Metro Rail for a long time. Initially TRS government is in favour of them but later decided that the old alignment will continue. So, now found a way out. But with this inordinate delays, the initial estimation of the project – Rs 14,370 crore, has already touched Rs 20,000 crore.
