KCR Defends The Ban of Kathi Mahesh and Swami Paripoornanda

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao met Governor ESL Narasimhan a little while ago and explained the rationale behind the ban of Kathi Mahesh and Swami Paripoornanda from Hyderabad for a Period of Six Months.

“Kathi Mahesh made some controversial comments and Swami Paripoornanda is gearing up for protests. As a result, the city is on a boil. To ensure law and order are intact, we banned both of them for six months,” the Chief Minister said.

BJP leaders have met the Governor recently and complained about the ban of Swami Paripoornanda. KCR explained to the Governor about the incidents that led to taking the decision. But then many believe that the government has overreacted in the issue.
