KCR Fails to Make Inroads into English Newspaper Readers

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao had brought up a new English Newspaper, Telangana Today to have his own presence in English media. Telangana Today which hit the stands in the last year was targeting the market share of its main rivals–Times of India and Deccan Chronicle.

But then, the ground reality is that the Newspaper made to make any mark on the readers in months after its launch. The Newspaper can at most compete with Hans India which is already at the bottom of the table. The web version of the newspaper has also got a poor ranking.

The New Printing Press for Telangana Today was imported from Germany and is said to be more superior than the one in Sakshi, which is superior of all Newspapers in the Telugu States. Telangana Today spent a whopping 50 Crore over the printing machine alone. The Newspaper has got some senior most editorial but is still struggling.
