KCR surprises opposition yet again!

Telangana Rashtra Samiti took the opposition by surprise when it announced Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao as it’s candidate for Paleru by-election. The by-election is necessitated due to the sudden demise of Congress Ramreddy Venkat Reddy. Despite best efforts of Congress, TRS refused to cooperate for unanimous election.

Tummala contested to Khammam Assembly segment in 2014 from TDP and lost. Later on he joined TRS and became Minister. He is accommodated in the council. Since TRS is keen to win Paleru, KCR felt Tummala is the apt bet. The voting for this by-election will take place on 16th May.

Congress is likely to field a kin of Ramreddy Venkat Reddy. Tummala became a trusted lieutenant of KCR after joining TRS. Despite party being very weak in Khammam, Tummala recently led the party to a superb win in Khammam Corporation elections. Thus he managed to win KCR’s confidence.
