KCR Government Pushing the Blame Onto the Center?

After coming under severe criticism, the Telangana Government has ramped up it’s testing a bit. The State tested 3,188 samples the other day which is its highest in a day. At the same time, Andhra Pradesh claims to have conducted 25,451 in the last 24 hours for comparison.

Telangana state has so far conducted 53,757 cases which is one of the least in the country. However, KCR Government now blames the Central Government. “You (Centre) did not give us proper facilities and financial help but our state government has managed. We have the capacity,” Health Minister Eatala Rajendra claims.

“We had ordered for a machine which can do 450 to 500 tests a day and it reached Chennai on June 6th. ICMR diverted that to Kolkata, saying it had orders from the Prime Minister’s Office,” he further said. On the other side, there were reports that Telangana has recorded more than 1,000 Positive cases last night.

But the Government intentionally underreported it to avoid Public Backlash. At present, the state has reported 7,072 cases and they are expected to increase by multiple folds as the tests increase.
