Former Telangana CM and BRS chief KCR, along with his wife Shobha, performed a Maha Ganapati homam at Erravelli farmhouse on Wednesday afternoon. The ritual began at noon, following KCR’s long-standing tradition of offering special pujas during Vinayaka Navratris.
Ex-minister KTR has been at the farmhouse for the past five days to oversee preparations for the ceremony and assist his parents. The family is known for conducting grand yagas, including the famous Chandi yagams, often performed for both personal prosperity and the well-being of Telangana.
KCR usually performs the Maha Ganapati yagam before moving on to larger yagas. However, with his health concerns and the current political turbulence, it remains uncertain whether he will organize another major yagam in the near future.
The homam comes at a sensitive time for KCR, following his daughter Kavitha’s suspension from the party and growing legal troubles after the Kaleshwaram report. For many, the ritual is seen as a way for KCR to seek Lord Ganapati’s blessings to overcome obstacles in both family and political life.
