KCR Makes Key Announcement on His Heir

There are speculations for a long time that Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhara Rao will make his son, K Taraka Ramarao as the Chief Minister and concentrate on the Central Politics. KCR gave clarity on the issue for the first time and that too in the State Assembly.

“I am keeping good health. I will be the Chief Minister of Telangana for another two terms. Why should I handover the CM seat to KTR? TRS will be in power for three more terms,” KCR announced in the house. This statement has received a thumping response from the treasury benches.

Interestingly, KCR did not take KTR into the Cabinet till recently but made him the Working President of Telangana Rashtra Samiti. But, KCR took KTR and Harish Rao into the cabinet in the recent expansion. KTR is the Minister with the highest number of portfolios among the current Ministers.

This is the first time KCR made a statement about his next heir.
