KCR Not Sure About Modi’s Word

Union Defence Ministry had in principle agreed to allot Bison Polo Ground for the construction of new secretariat to Telangana government. But Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao seems to be not sure about the word of the center until the land transfer is done.

“If need be, we will wage a court battle against the Union defense ministry to get possession of the land to realize our plan. Bison Polo Ground is part of Cantonment land given by the Nizam to the British. Since it is a sensitive matter, we will be circumspect,” KCR told in the Assembly.

The state is seeking 151 acres from the defense ministry, including 71 acres for the new Secretariat and the balance for two expressways from JBS to Shamirpet and Medchal highway. KCR reiterated that the state of art secretariat will come up there itself and will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister himself.
