KCR on People Burdening Spree!

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao who is holding up various price hikes and taxes increase for the last two years due to various elections in the state, finally started burdening people with them. The Chief Minister already gave a go ahead for the increase of tariffs on RTC Bus tickets and Power charges.

Increased Bus charges have already come in to effect and Power charges will start increasing from the next month bills. On the other side, the government is also gearing up to increase the property Tax. In GHMC limits, Property Tax is likely to increase any where between a whopping 50% to 100%.

Property Tax in GHMC limits increased way back in 2001. GHMC had got 1050 Crore from Property Tax last year. The corporation is planning to raise another 1000 Crore with this increased Property Tax. The government had decided to increase the property tax since there are no elections round the corner.
