KCR to Finally Let Go His Trusted Man

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao have to finally part with his trusted man and the current Chief Secretary of the state, Rajiv Sharma. He is the first Chief Secretary of Telangana after its formation and KCR had entrusted him in all the major tasks of the government including the committees appointed on various issues that arose with AP after bifurcation.

The State government has got an extension of six months for him after his retirement. And now, with the extension is also completing in the next month, Sharma will finally retire. The current Special chief secretary Sekhar Prasad Singh will most likely succeed Rajiv Sharma as the Chief Secretary of Telangana.

Singh s currently with the panchayat raj and rural development department. There are Six IAS officers in the cadre. K. Pradeep Chandra is the senior-most after Rajiv Sharma but then since he will retire in December, Singh will be given the chance for the most important bureautic position in the state government and he will continue in service till January 2018.
