CM’s Office Spends 1 Crore on Chai -Samosa

The latest in politics is that the Delhi government has spent crores over snacks and tête-à-tête with visitors in the past 18 months. An RTI filed by a man named Vivek Garg revealed that the Delhi CM has expended Rs 22,42,320 at the secretariat office and Rs 24,86,921 at the residence camp office with his total bill coming up to be more than 47 lakhs.

The cabinet ministers also have a hand in the sheer waste of money over Samosas and Chai. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and ex-transport minister Gopal Rai, who was sacked for corruption allegations, have both spent over 11 lakhs on snacks while Sandeep Kumar, the ex-social welfare minister who was fired for a leaked sex tape, has wasted over 9 lakhs.

Other cabinet ministers who’ve contributed in spending lakhs over food in past year and a half are Health minister Satyendra Jain, Minister of Food and Civil Supply Imran Hussain, and Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra.
