Telangana Forest Minister Konda Surekha fainted in the Cabinet Hall in the Secretariat while heading for a cabinet meeting on Thursday. The doctors checked her immediately and said she could have fainted due to low BP.
The doctors said it was due to fatigue and missed meals. Much to the relief of her cabinet colleagues, Konda Surekha recovered soon and resumed her duties.
She hadn’t eaten since morning, say inside sources which resulted in her feeling giddy and collapsing on the sixth floor of the Secretariat.
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy enquired after her health and got the details from the doctors.
Given the heat conditions in the state and irregular schedules of the ministers, health takes a toll often. But Surekha being duty-bound attended the cabinet meeting after resting for a while.
Incidentally, the rules are the same for all. Health has to be the top priority and must not be neglected at any cost.
