Revanth Reddy Blackmailed Cong: Surekha Hits Back!

The inevitable has happened as Konda Surekha has been removed from the Telangana cabinet by chief minister Revanth Reddy. This decision came after the Congress high command got vexed with Surekha and her antics.

Shortly after her expulsion, Konda Surekha made a series of comments and she was explosive against Revanth in the same.

Surekha said that Revanth Reddy had blackmailed the Congress leadership that he would move away from the party if they do not fire her.

“Revanth Reddy worked against me and blackmail that he would resign from the party if I am not sidelined from my cabinet position. But I still have trust in my Congress party, and I will fight for my place here.” She said.

She also detailed the police episode involving her former OSD Sumanth, alleging that police came to her official ministerial residence while attempting to arrest him. She called the incident an affront to her dignity and the office she holds.

Surekha further alleged that she was sidelined in key Endowments Department matters, including the constitution of the Yadadri Temple Trust Board, and said funds released for permanent development of the Sammakka-Saralamma temple were transferred to the Roads & Buildings Department without informing her.

She also raised concerns over delays in development works in Warangal East, including the Smart City Model. She appeared to be firing on the Congress leadership shortly after she was removed from the endowment ministry position.

Considering the kind of aggressive personality that Surekha is, she would certainly be making more allegations and aggressive comments against the party leadership in the days to follow.
