Kotamreddy Into TDP: Cadre Divided About Joining!

Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy is almost out of YSR Congress. In the Pressmeet today, Sridhar Reddy said he wants to join Telugu Desam Party but it is the decision of Chandrababu Naidu.

Without formal talks with Chandrababu, Sridhar Reddy may not have made such a comment. But the TDP cadre is not happy.

Kotamreddy was previously accused of getting a TDP activist murdered in broad daylight. TDP alleges that the Police ignored the case even though there are proof.

And then, we have seen him barge into the house of a lady government officer and terrorize her. TDP has fought against Kotamreddy in that case as well. Politically, Sridhar Reddy is a staunch loyalist of the YS family and always a bitter critic of Chandrababu Naidu.

“Admitting Sridhar Reddy will come as a grave mistake. We have seen admitting leaders like Addala, Magunta, and others previously and they have deserted the party when the winds blew against the party. A similar scenario will repeat if people like Sridhar Reddy are allowed without any ideology,” a vast majority of the cadre opines.

Another section says otherwise. “Kotamreddy is a strong leader and is a good pick for Nellore Rural. There is no place for ethics in politics. This kind of joinings is inevitable where the party is weak and also to make YSR Congress weak. Also admitting loyal YSRCP leaders will send a message that the party is getting weak,” they opine.
