An interesting moment unfolded in Narmala today as the convoys of BRS working president KTR and Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay crossed paths.
Both leaders stepped out of their vehicles and warmly greeted each other. They shook hands, which brought cheer to the gathered party workers.
Bandi Sanjay had just completed his visit to the flood-affected areas in Narmala. KTR was on his way to assess the same. The leaders exchanged pleasantries before continuing with their schedules.
Excited supporters from both sides raised “Jai Telangana” slogans, celebrating the rare show of camaraderie between the two political rivals.
Despite ongoing rumours about a possible BRS-BJP merger, both parties have denied such claims. KTR and Bandi Sanjay remain ideologically opposed, even though they both strongly represent the Telangana identity.
Their common political rival is Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. At a time when floods have caused distress in the region, this light-hearted meeting brought some relief to the locals.
