BRS working president KTR is busy touring districts as a part of the silver jubilee celebrations of BRS. Speaking at a public meeting, KTR stoked the Telugu and Telangana sentiments of people by making some interesting comments.
KTR, who incidentally was named after Sr NTR, said that NTR was the leader who made the country sit up and take notice of Telugu people. For years, Telugus were called Madarasis, anna NTR changed that.
Similarly, our leader KCR was the other leader who made the country aware of the Telangana state and its self-respecting people.
Today, if one looks at the political developments in India following 76 years of Independence, there are just two parties that have emerged from the Telugu soil.
One is TDP, which is now active in Andhra Pradesh and the other party is our own BRS. Both parties have been working for Telugu people beyond 25 years.
Towards the end of silver jubilee year, KTR intends to take up a padayatra to reach out to the Telangana people in the nook and corner of Telangana state.
It has to be noted that while KTR stressed about two parties being born on Telugu soil, he chose to ignore YSRCP that recently completed 15 years.
